Magnesip is the new functional accessory that everybody needs. A stainless steel water bottle complete with a phone magnet on the lid, this ingenious product allows a social savvy audience to use their phone as a tripod and record content, watch videos, take calls, follow workouts, read recipes, and complete almost any other task on your phone hands free whilst staying hydrated. For their launch to market, Magnesip came to COZ Digital to craft them a comprehensive visual identity.

The Idea

The name Magnesip had already been chosen by the founder, and the brand identity needed to give equal weight to its unique magnetic function. While the product has broad applications, the primary audience was the fitness market, particularly personal trainers and influencers looking for an easy way to record social media content and follow structured training plans. The challenge was to create a brand mark that felt as dynamic and practical as the product itself.
Extensive research into competitors and the visual language of fitness brands highlighted the importance of a clean, versatile logo that would work seamlessly across digital platforms. Inspired by the bold simplicity of Nike and Gymshark, we set out to design a recognisable stamp that would not only convey Magnesip’s USP but also look aspirational when shared online. Our exploration eventually led us to diagrams of the Earth’s magnetic field. The curved lines encircling the planet formed a shape reminiscent of the letter “M” — a simple yet powerful connection that became the foundation of the brand’s visual identity.

To bring the concept to life, we used a series of scaled oval shapes that expanded outward to mimic the diagrams of Earth’s magnetic field. These forms were arranged to create an abstract “M,” giving Magnesip a primary logo that was both simple and distinctive. The mark captured the essence of the brand in a single initial, communicated its magnetic USP, and felt at home in the fitness world — confident, modern, and ready to sit alongside established gym brands.
For the wordmark, we selected Quasimoda, a clean sans-serif with a contemporary edge that complemented the logo’s minimalism. By combining both bold and regular weights within the name, we introduced a sense of movement and intrigue. This choice not only highlighted the “MAGNE” prefix to reinforce the product’s core feature, but also created flexibility for future product lines, allowing “SIP” to adapt as the range grows. The result is an identity that is versatile, scalable, and strategically aligned with the brand’s long-term ambitions.
